Fans of the finest single cask, single malts in Singapore now have access to a wide range of bottlings from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS), the world’s leading whisky club.
The SMWS was founded in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1983 and bottles exceptional rare and exclusive single malts for discerning whisky lovers. Its whisky is only ever bottled from a single cask, at cask strength with no water or colouring added and with no chill filtration. By definition, each cask is unique and a limited edition of however many bottles come from that single cask.
With the launch of the SMWS branch in Singapore, the Society’s bottlings are now available for the first time at partner bar The Single Cask at Chijmes in the heart of the city. The Single Cask is already celebrated for its collection of more than 400 single malts, boutique blended malts and single cask rums, and now includes a selection of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society’s iconic green bottles on its shelves.
“As we approach our 35th anniversary in 2018, we are delighted to launch The Scotch Malt Whisky Society’s new branch in Singapore, and share our love for the finest single cask, single malt whiskies,” said Neil Aitken, International Commercial Director at the SMWS. “This is an important first step in introducing the Society to whisky lovers here in Southeast Asia.”
