As we approach the whisky festival month of May, the Society is all set with our exclusive festival bottlings. Unfortunately we can’t travel to Speyside, the Highlands, Campbeltown or Islay, but we can still share them virtually. What do you think?

The Spirit of Speyside, the Highland Whisky Festival, the Campbeltown Malts Festival – and of course the Islay Festival of Music and Malt. They were all in our calendar and, like whisky fans in Scotland and around the world, we were geared up and looking forward to seeing you and sharing drams at these fantastic festivals throughout the month of May.

Clearly, no one is going anywhere any time soon and we’ll have to wait another year before we can gather again in person at each of the festivals. But what should we do with the exceptional selection of exclusive festival bottlings that we’d lined up for each of May’s events?

That’s up to you. We have three Spirit of Speyside exclusives, one each for the Highland Whisky Festival and Campbeltown Malts Festival, and seven special bottlings for the Islay Festival.

We’re looking at holding our own virtual tastings and events to try and recreate the spirit of the festivals as much as we can in an online environment, with music, pub chats and ambassador Q&As – if we can’t be at the festivals in person, we’ll bring the experience to you online.

So we wanted to ask you – should we make our festival bottlings available to members in May so that we can crack them open and share them online? Or put them away somewhere safe until we can enjoy them in person next year?

We’re leaving the decision up to you – let us know by completing the poll below.
