The Scotch Malt Whisky Society was on hand to help satisfy celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s thirst, following his latest Food Revolution event in London on Tuesday, 21 March

Jamie Oliver hosted a CEO CookOff, with 60 CEOs swapping their business wear for aprons to help prepare a banquet for hundreds of everyday heroes who have dedicated their lives to supporting others.

As well as Jamie leading the event, the CEOs were supported by 30 high-profile chefs to create the three-course meal for 600 people. The event raised more than £500,00 for the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation in the process.Jamie Oliver

After the CEO CookOff, Jamie invited participants to relax onboard the Silver Barracuda for a cruise on the Thames, combined with a selection of four Society whiskies and cognac, matched with light nibbles.

Jamie told SMWS ambassador John McCheyne that he had been introduced to the Society by a good friend and business colleague, and that like every other member, he looks forward with anticipation to the monthly Outturn.

He also said he’d take up our invitation to visit the Society’s Members’ Rooms at 19 Greville Street in London to have a look at the range of bottlings available and sample a few more.
