Description

The nose is subtle and playful – cedar and sandalwood, cinnamon and ginger and the teasing sweetness of nougat, honey and Belgian waffles. The wood hits the palate as toasted coconut, willow twigs and seasoned oak – the sweetness becomes caramel wafers and Danish pastries and the spice is pickled ginger – it also develops juicy orchard fruits and lime marmalade. The reduced nose is fruitier and more perfumed (bramble wine, juniper berries, pineapple) with acidic Moffat toffee*. The sweeter, softer palate discovers tinned lychees, vanilla ice-cream and Bounty bars with white pepper, chilli and oak tingling the finish for a rounded experience. *hard boiled toffee with a citric tang from the south of Scotland.
