The nose neat had plenty to offer, from a fresh fruit salad with ginger syrup, lime and mint over cinnamon spiced banana bread to a heady mixture of blood oranges and Port wine marmalade. The taste was as rich and intense as the nose; chocolate-dipped Luxardo cherries, spiced orange clove pomander as well as Peshawari naan bread stuffed with sweet dry fruits. Be very careful when adding water, a couple of drops and aromas of sizzling five spice barbequed spare ribs with apple dumplings in a caramel sauce appeared whilst on the palate a fascinating concoction of herbal orange liqueur meeting the classic mint julep cocktail.
