A fruity aroma of fresh pears and apples, as well as tined peaches and dried apricots, greeted the Panel at first before sweet and tangy notes of lemon custard cream cake, lemon curd and homemade jammy dodger biscuits appeared. Like a spiced vanilla latte on the palate neat; espresso with steamed milk, rich vanilla, cardamom syrup and plenty of whipped cream and a sprinkling of cinnamon on top. With a drop of water turning into rich smooth profiteroles filled with lemon custard cream and a creamy kiwi lemon cheese cake with a pleasant hint of lingering liquorice allsorts in the finish.
