Description

We were transported miraculously into a dunnage warehouse in Scotland, a wine cellar in a French château and a rickhouse in Kentucky with old, thick stone walls, wooden barrels, charred wood, hessian cloth and plenty of alcohol-filled air which we shared with the angels. On the palate plenty of wood spice, dark fruits and firm tannins like in a good Barolo wine. Water released aromas of red wine chocolate cake with cherry-lavender compote and to taste now honey-balsamic vinaigrette, dark chocolate banana truffles as well as rosemary and blood orange shortbread. After fourteen years in an ex-bourbon barrel we transferred this whisky into a 1st fill charred red wine barrique.
