Flavours were splendidly moreish from the start as chocolate truffles and praline tantalised the tongue alongside brazil nuts and vanilla. Apple crumble arrived with a dusting of cinnamon before a fresh sweetness brought candyfloss and a touch of fresh lime. Juicy blood oranges came wrapped in soft toffee and fudge with a tingle from ginger marmalade and divine cherry pie. A dash of water produced rich and velvety notes of coffee beans and burnt toffee before almonds and raisons arrived covered in milk chocolate. Heavy Madeira cake appeared towards the end where it became bound in antique wood.
