With breath-taking views over the waters of the Firth of Forth, 28 Queen Street is an impressive four-storey Georgian building, comprising a suite of modern and elegant rooms. Our brand new Members’ Exclusive Lounge takes pride of place on the on the first floor along with three private function room available for both our members and non members to privately hire. Our Members' Lounge bar boast over 450 rare single malts from across the globe, which can be paired with the finest craft beers, artisanal spirit and wines. Our range of menus are available to take you from a light bar snack, seasonal light lunch or our gastronomic five-course taster menu.

THE VAULTS

The spiritual home of the Society, traditional and eclectic in its appearance with a magnificent selection of single cask whisky and spirits. The history of the building dates back as far as the 12th century with the current building completed in 1787. Originally a wine merchants bonded warehouse, we are continuing its affiliation to the wine and spirits industry having been our home since 1983. A trusted hostelry for our valued members and their guests, we pride ourselves on a warm welcome, spectacular drams and flavour focused menu all combining to create the community that is SMWS.

Located near London’s exclusive Hatton Garden diamond quarter, 19 Greville Street is a classic Victorian building with a contemporary and stylish interior décor. Explore one of the world’s largest collections of single cask whiskies in our Members’ Room.

The SMWS Glasgow is the first Members’ Room at the other end of the M8, in Scotland’s biggest and most vibrant city (can you tell this was written by a Glaswegian?) Come visit us on Bath Street and enjoy our fabulous collection of Society whisky and spirits.

Partner bars

In addition to its own exclusive Members’ Rooms, the Society works with a hand-picked global network of suitably like-minded partner bars, where guests can enjoy a selection of our single cask whiskies. Our criteria for becoming a partner are exactingly high, so members and non-members can always count on highly trained bar staff pouring the perfect dram.
