Amazon Pay - Frequently Asked Questions

We've introduced Amazon Pay after listening to members feedback. We want to help provide a better browsing experience so you can get the most out of being a member of the Society. Amazon Pay will allow you to checkout using stored payment and delivery details held within your Amazon account, which means you don't need to waste time filling in forms. You simply click on your preferences and away you go. We've prepared a few FAQs to help you use the service - however if you still need help, you can speak to our membership services team or by referring directly to Amazon's support here

Amazon Pay can help you checkout easier by letting you use stored card and delivery details that you hold in your Amazon account
How do I sign up?
If you already have an account with Amazon, you only have to accept their Terms of use when making a purchase on a non-Amazon site that accepts Amazon Pay (i.e. Ours). There is no separate registration process you simply need to connect your current Amazon account. If you don't have an Amazon account you can head over to the Amazon website to create one.
Am I protected when I use Amazon Pay?
If there are ever unauthorised Amazon Pay charges in your personal e-money account, you can dispute the charge with us. You must notify us as quickly as possible and no later than 13 months after the date of the transaction. Unless you have acted fraudulently or with negligence, you may not be held responsible for the charge. When you use Amazon Pay for qualified purchases on third-party websites, the condition of the item that you buy and its timely delivery may be guaranteed under the Amazon A-to-z Guarantee for Buyers check the Amazon Pay website for more details. If you submit payment for a product or service and you do not receive the item or if it is materially different than advertised, you can dispute the transaction and request reimbursement. Is my order fulfilled by Amazon?
No, Amazon Pay is only a means of checkout, your orders will still be delivered via our normal courier.
I've logged into the wrong account, what do I do?
Login into your SMWS account, on your Account Dashboard there is a section called "Login with Amazon" - simply click disconnect from here and log in with the correct Amazon account
Where can I check my orders?
You can check your orders as normal in your SMWS account or you can log into your Amazon pay account by visiting https://pay.amazon.co.uk and clicking shoppers. Depending on your account you can simply visit http://www.Amazon.co.uk and view orders from your account there.
Can I use an Amazon giftcard to pay?
No, unfortunately Amazon giftcards are only redemmeable on Amazon websites and not via the Amazon Pay checkout.
How do I update the details I can choose from?
"You can manage most aspects of your Amazon account for Amazon Pay on Amazon.co.uk. Go to http://www.Amazon.co.uk, sign in, and then click Your Account. Other changes must be made on the Amazon Pay website. What if I want to delete my Amazon Pay account?
When an Amazon account has been closed, it cannot be reopened. There is no cost for keeping an Amazon account open; you can leave your account dormant as long as you want without incurring any fees. If you do decide to close your account, contact Amazon Customer Service to request a full account closure. Note that you don't have an Amazon Pay account to close — instead, you can close only your Amazon account. Later, if you decide you want to use Amazon Pay again, just shop on a third-party website that accepts Amazon Pay, open a new Amazon account, and accept our User Agreement when you check out.
