Tasting Notes
Surprisingly hefty for this make, was the Panels initial impression. Things like chamois leather, new shoes, canvas, steel wool, lanolin, hessian, old oak, rum and raisin and menthol cigarettes were all detected. It took a bit of water to unearth some more gentle notes of putty, ink, sea buckthorn berries, gingerbread, lime flowers, earthy potting sheds and cider apple. The neat palate was full of juicy fruits, pineapple syrup, herbal jellies and jam donuts. Then a swerve towards Scotch broth, barley sugars, jamon serrano and sweet chilli sauce. With water we noted carob, sweetened porridge, fruity muesli, eucalyptus vapour rubs, liquorice and pinecones.
