At the heart of our club are our members, a curious bunch who – like our intriguingly named whiskies – are all characters in their own right. They come from all walks of life and are united and constant in their passion – to share the world’s best whiskies, and to be proud to belong to the world’s most colourful and dynamic whisky club. Members come together at our exclusive Members’ Rooms in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London and participate in an extensive programme of colourful tasting events and parties at our partner bars around the world. There are as many reasons to join our family of whisky adventurers as there are aromas in one of our unique single malt whiskies.

If you are buying an SMWS membership as a gift, we don't need the details of the person you are offering the membership to. Your gift membership includes an activation code for the recipient to create their online account. Membership is valid for a year and is renewable. Don't worry if you're purchasing your gift in advance of the big day, membership only starts upon activation. We can either deliver a gift membership directly to the lucky new SMWS member, or send it to you if you prefer to gift it in person - the choice is yours.
